Happy Sunday, folks.

As a franchise consultant, I hear pitches from hundreds of different franchise concepts every year.

I’m taking the most interesting ones, and telling you:

  • What sets them apart

  • One potential weakness

  • Who the ideal buyer is

My promise: you’ll learn something about franchising every time.

Today’s mystery franchises: Private jet detailers, and drawer retrofit specialists

The business: Mobile jet cleaning

Most mobile service franchises stick to cars, homes, or lawns. This one skips all that and goes straight for the private jet crowd offering high-end, on-demand aircraft detailing with no hangar required.

What they do differently

  • They’re first in line. While car detailing franchises are a dime a dozen (most of which suck by the way), there’s no national brand doing mobile aircraft detailing. This team’s jumping into a fragmented niche with a sharp brand and solid backing. That “first mover” angle could matter when airports start handing out preferred vendor lists.

  • No lease, no building, no problem. You don’t need a storefront or office to start. Everything’s mobile, and if you grow, you can bolt on a small storage locker near high-traffic airports. Keeps the fixed costs low, which helps you breathe a little easier in year one.

  • Factory-approved specialty products. The ceramic coating they use is the only one officially approved by Cessna. That gives them credibility with picky aircraft owners who don’t want anyone winging it.

  • 🚩Potential weakness: It’s unproven as a franchise. This is as nascent as a franchise can be - full stop. The original location has done well, but it's the only one so far. There will inevitably be operational growing pains that could compromise the value of the franchise.

The takeaway:

If you’re the kind of person who can sell high-ticket services to high-net-worth folks and enjoys breaking into white-space markets, this is a wild card worth exploring. Aviation experience isn’t needed, but attention to detail and a steady hand with customer service are. Growth potential? High. Predictability? Not quite yet.

The business: Custom drawer retrofits

Kitchen remodels are expensive and time-consuming. This concept skips the gut job and focuses on a niche with serious appeal: retrofitting high-quality pull-out drawers into existing cabinets for better storage, access, and organization.

What they do differently

  • Retrofit, don’t remodel. Instead of ripping out cabinets, they install custom drawers and storage inside what’s already there. It’s faster, less disruptive, and a whole lot more affordable—which makes it a much easier sell.

  • You don’t do sales—or installs. The franchise handles lead gen and appointment booking, and there’s a centralized system for designer and installer training. Your job is managing the team and building relationships locally.

  • No showroom or shop required. The business runs from a storage unit or small warehouse. No real estate overhead, no buildout delays.

  • 🚩Potential weakness: It’s a newer brand. Franchising only started in 2023. The system seems strong, but if you’re looking for a 20-year-old playbook, this isn’t it.

The takeaway:

Ideal for someone who wants to lead and grow a small team—not swing a hammer. No kitchen experience needed, just organizational skills, people smarts, and a little capital. High-ticket jobs, low overhead, and clear value to the customer.

If these aren’t doing it for you, I work with hundreds of other brands. Get in touch and we can find something that scratches the itch.
